What Should We Do?  In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord,  make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8   These are strange days. As each day goes by it seems like we are living in a sci-fi movie. There are people who cling to the Word of God, while others cling to conspiracy theories. All the while as we watch the news it seems like there is not a battle against this virus. No...it is a battle for power. My, my, my, Satan is busy, isn't he? For those of us that are grounded in the word know that there is nothing in heaven nor on earth that will stop God's will. A lot of things in the last days will get down right ugly. It will look like evil is winning. These things will have to happen in order to usher the return of His Son. I had a conversation with someone today that was on the fence with all that is going on. He was thinking maybe it is a hoax to test the waters before "they" take over. Who was they? Not s...

You Are The Temple of God

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst? 1 Corinthians 3:16 The past couple of days we have covered fear and being overwhelmed. Today I am going to shift gears and talk a bit and talk about the scripture above. I have heard over the past few days pastors, minsters, and church leaders talk about how the restrictions in place is against their right to worship. That the building is the temple of God. As we discussed we are in uncharted waters these are times many of us have not seen in our lifetime. Our government has asked every one to stay home, kids can not go to school, parents can not go to work, and social distancing is in place for good reason. We are all in isolation this is not targeted to one group nor any religion. It is foolish for a church leader to want to carry on as if nothing is happening in this world. I for one understand the importance of worship and fellowship but I also know the importance of k...

Do You Love Me?

John 21:16 Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep." We all feel overwhelmed during these times in our lives. People have been confined to their homes, parents have taken over the task of homeschooling their children at the last minute. Not to mention the chaotic mess at the grocery store. The times we live in will make anyone overwhelmed. As we talked about in our previous devotional we do not fear but in this time there is no way of us escaping being overwhelmed. The best remedy for this reciting "this too shall pass" and not listening to every single word that people repeat. I have someone I know and I say I know because I do not become too involved with this person because she is as some would put it a drama queen. She texted me the other day and was repeating a rumor. As I pressed her for where she got her information she said: ...

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Deuteronomy 31:8 “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you nor forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” As believers what is going on in this world should not plunge us into fear. As his children, we should know better we do not spread fear we calm it in ourselves and others around us. God will offer a peace through us that surpasses all understanding if we allow him to work through us. Scripture is very clear about what is happening in the world today, and we have been warned for thousands of years. In these times we take comfort in those scriptures, and we should all be encouraging others to do the same. We should all be working hard as his disciples in making sure his message is being heard and accurately. Our task is not an easy one, and we will find ourselves growing weary of the opposition if we are not careful. In these times it is important for us to take care of our spiritual well-being. How do we do that? Easy by not thinki...
