What Should We Do?

In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord,  make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:8
These are strange days. As each day goes by it seems like we are living in a sci-fi movie. There are people who cling to the Word of God, while others cling to conspiracy theories. All the while as we watch the news it seems like there is not a battle against this virus. No...it is a battle for power. My, my, my, Satan is busy, isn't he? For those of us that are grounded in the word know that there is nothing in heaven nor on earth that will stop God's will. A lot of things in the last days will get down right ugly. It will look like evil is winning. These things will have to happen in order to usher the return of His Son.

I had a conversation with someone today that was on the fence with all that is going on. He was thinking maybe it is a hoax to test the waters before "they" take over. Who was they? Not sure but I can take a guess, and I am sure you can too. I listened but I told him that we all know our liberties will be taken away screaming and shouting about it will do no good. Drumming up conspiracies on social media what good will it do? Will it stop it? Will we accomplish anything? No. The Antichrist will rise one day and there will be a one world Government. It is God's will, nothing and no one will be able to stop it.  So what should we do? It is so simple what we all should have been doing since we were born again. Bring as many to Christ as we can. That is where our eternal liberties and eternal freedoms are. Instead of hanging on to what we had and fighting for that. How about we fight for the souls that are not saved, fight for God's kingdom? As a believer why wouldn't we? I am a positive person, I am positive that the scriptures are true and if this is it. Well, I better be about my Father's business as we all should.
Again, I will ask what should we do? That is an appropriate question. It is a question that has been asked during all throughout history. In fact, King David asks the same question in Psalm 11:
"When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3

What should believers, God’s people, do?
When King David wrote this Psalm, he was under attack. We are told that his enemies had their bows drawn and their arrows already pointed at him. His kingdom was in dire trouble. He had some advisers and they told him to run. They told him to flee to the mountains and hide. David was led by God to take another track. David’s word to others and to himself was:
In the Lord I take refuge… Psalm 11:1
King David knew that his God was still with him in the middle of his crisis. He knew that his God was better than some hiding place in the hills.
A full reading of Psalm 11 shows us that David understood some basic truths:
  • His God was with him.
  • God was still on his throne and in control.
  • There was no need to run.
David found peace and confidence in his God. As we read through the scriptures daily we should too. We should not be shocked by what is going on in the world, and we should be explaining to others why we are not getting caught up in the current crisis. The more these things happen the closer we are to eternity with our king! We have a personal relationship with Yeshua, and we have received the gift of grace that God has offered us. We also know how this all ends. It is in the last book in the bible and it lays it out very clearly. Satan will have his time here yes, it will be short. But God is faithful he has never lost a battle, and he is not about to lose one now. What should we do concerning all this? The only thing we should be doing is letting God work through us to save as many souls as he can.
In these times such as this we need the peace, confidence and power that can only come from him. Let us lay down and sleep in his peace and not get caught up in the chaos that this world is in.
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you. Psalm 33:22

Amen.

The Garden (A Changed Heart)

The Garden (A Changed Heart) The heavens declare the glory of God, And the firmament shows His handiwork. Psalms 19:1 When winter leaves and spring arrives there is so much beauty to behold. The colors of spring I think are the most vibrant and enjoyable. God is truly showing His artwork, a canvas that only he can present to His beloved children. When His children slow down long enough to take notice of all that he has to show off we can see His beauty all throughout His creation, not through a stained glass window. We see it through the eyes of a very powerful God that we take for granted every day. As His children we are important to God we are above all else on earth the one thing out of all that He did create, the most loved by Him. I think we sometimes on a day-to-day basis forget that. I know I have I often wonder how “He” the creator of all that my eyes behold can love something as tainted as me. Just when I think He cannot amaze me anymore He sends me a revelation that re...

Matthew 24:3-31 ~ Contemplating the Signs of the End Times

Matthew 24:3-31 presents a profound and challenging discourse from Jesus to His disciples about the signs of the end times and His eventual return. As the disciples sat with Him on the Mount of Olives, their question—“Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”—reveals a deep human longing to understand the mysteries of the future and to find assurance amid uncertainty. Jesus’ response, however, does not offer simple answers; instead, it invites His followers into a posture of alertness, humility, and faith. In these verses, Jesus describes a series of tumultuous events: false messiahs, wars, natural disasters, persecution, and the spread of lawlessness. Rather than providing a precise timetable, He emphasizes that such upheavals are merely “the beginning of sorrows.” This perspective encourages readers not to be easily alarmed or led astray. The call is not to obsess over signs or dates, but to steadfastness and discern...

Daniel 2:21 ~ Understanding God's Sovereignty Over Times and Seasons

“It is He who changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and greater knowledge to those who have understanding.” Daniel 2:21 is a powerful verse that highlights God's ultimate authority over the passage of time and the rise and fall of leaders. In the context of Daniel’s story, this verse is part of his praise to God after receiving wisdom to interpret King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Daniel acknowledges that God is the one who "changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding." This statement reminds us that all events—both historical and personal—are under God’s control, and that wisdom and knowledge ultimately come from Him. As we reflect on Daniel 2:21, we are encouraged to trust God’s sovereignty in every moment of our lives. Life can feel unpredictable, and world events may seem overwhelming at times. Yet, Daniel’s wor...
