To Party or Not to Party

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

One of the things we enjoy as humans is self-pity, somehow it makes us feel better than to stand up and be joyful no matter what the situation is or how bad of a day we had. Why? It is easier to wallow in the self-pity than it is to continue to rebuke and fight the devil. After all we fight all day with work, traffic, co-workers then when we get home? It is time to pour a glass of oh poor pitiful me, time to complain about what was not done to my specifications throughout the day. What upset me, what was done to me, and not done for me. Sound familiar? It should this is all of us.

Philippians 2: 14
Do all things without grumbling or questioning,

Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

James 5:9
Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.

Numbers 11: 1-4
And the people complained in the hearing of the Lord about their misfortunes, and when the Lord heard it, his anger was kindled, and the fire of the Lord burned among them and consumed some outlying parts of the camp. Then the people cried out to Moses, and Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire died down. So the name of that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the Lord burned among them.

Now this verse here should be kept in mind every time we feel a pity party coming on,

James 4:17
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Everything that we need to equip ourselves to live in the Satan's world is right in the Bible. Everything we need for peace, comfort, understanding, and most of all love. God is very much surrounding us. When he said draw near to me and I will draw near to you, he meant pray to me every single time you feel you want to raise a glass of oh poor pitiful me. Does anyone know why Jesus struggled in the garden before he was arrested? Because he knew what was going to happen to him he knew the awful death he was going to have to endure. In His moment of weakness who showed up? That is right! SATAN. The Son of God....imagine? Did he fall to the ground on his knees in a pity party and say to God "I have lived a perfect life NO SIN, I have healed the sick, the blind, crippled, and did EVERYTHING you asked". Now this? Boy, it is bad enough I have to be beaten beyond recognition. Now you allow Satan to come to me in my moment of weakness? Sounds like a brief second in your bosses office, with a friend, or maybe a family member huh? I have done everything you asked, I have been here every day, done my job, done it well, and these certain people cannot do one tiny thing right. WOW! Sounds like Jesus could have stated the same thing to God. After all he had the right...we do not. Therefore, do as Jesus did fall to your knees in prayer as he did, ask for the strength of the Holy Father, lean on his understanding not your own. So when Satan shows up do not act defeated and click glasses with him and party up in the pity party. Rise, take the beating, act on your faith in God, because in the end HE PROMISED just like he promised Christ your reward will be in heaven not of this world! When you are feeling like a fish outta water PRAISE AND THANK GOD! You are now in good company you my friend are in your own garden and you are not alone Jesus is right next to you on his knees too, advocating your plea that is his job that is why he died.

The reality is very simple and clear you have a choice, you can choose to party or not to party!

Obeying God's Voice

Obeying God's Voice Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Sometimes we are unsure if we are listening to the Holy Spirit and sometimes we doubt if we are being receptive to the voice of God. Years ago I was in that place, doubting whether or not I was hearing God. I have a favorite place in my home that I resort to, to visit God. Let me tell ya sometimes I come busting in God’s front door with both barrels blasting, sometimes I walk in happy, sometimes I walk in sad, sometimes I come in with so much confusion I do not know where to turn. Years ago I was in a state of confusion I did not ask God what to do or how do I do it. I told God I gave it to you Lord give me some peace in my life. It was only a matter of hours not days but a matter of hours he answered me. Now you might ask how? God placed an opportunity in front of me. He placed in front of me a moment that I could have obeyed or I could have ...

The Garden (A Changed Heart)

The Garden (A Changed Heart) The heavens declare the glory of God, And the firmament shows His handiwork. Psalms 19:1 When winter leaves and spring arrives there is so much beauty to behold. The colors of spring I think are the most vibrant and enjoyable. God is truly showing His artwork, a canvas that only he can present to His beloved children. When His children slow down long enough to take notice of all that he has to show off we can see His beauty all throughout His creation, not through a stained glass window. We see it through the eyes of a very powerful God that we take for granted every day. As His children we are important to God we are above all else on earth the one thing out of all that He did create, the most loved by Him. I think we sometimes on a day-to-day basis forget that. I know I have I often wonder how “He” the creator of all that my eyes behold can love something as tainted as me. Just when I think He cannot amaze me anymore He sends me a revelation that re...

Ephesians 4:26 -6:24 ~ “Guarding Peace, Growing Together”

A Rich Tapestry of Guidance for Living in Spiritual Integrity and Communal Harmony. Ephesians 4:26–6:24 offers a compelling blueprint for Christian conduct, especially in the realm of emotional discipline and communal harmony. It begins with the striking admonition, “In your anger do not sin,” urging believers to acknowledge anger as a natural emotion but one that must be carefully managed to avoid spiritual harm. Paul warns against letting the sun go down while still angry, emphasizing the urgency of reconciliation and the danger of unresolved conflict giving the devil a foothold. This call to emotional stewardship is not about suppressing feelings but about channeling them in ways that preserve peace and reflect Christ’s character. Unity among believers is a central theme woven throughout these chapters. Paul exhorts the church to maintain the bond of peace, recognizing that the body of Christ thrives when its members are committed to mutual support and humility. He outlines b...
